The infinite resizement loop is fixed

I would like to center the pages. but i need a hint on that one.
I don't know how to do it without quite a bit of modifications.
I was thinking to add a method in the pageViewItem class to relatively move the
pages in the contentArea. (As we just have to move them on the X axis it would
not be too difficult). 
I'm not sure that's the best idea.
Any suggestion on how to center the pages properly?
