I have similar problem on mandriva Linux 2010.0 with:
Qt: 4.5.3
KDE: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Okular: 0.9.2

Source pdf file is a set of slides => each page has landscape sizes. Printer
has portrait setting. I tried to print 6 slides per page. Good. But I could not
print 8 slides per page. There is no such option.
There is no option to rotate slides (to fit them better on page). Then I set
printer setting to landscape => I saw on page 6 cut slides.
