Note that the FSF has made implementation of the new PDF standard a
high-priority project (apparently its highest-priority project).

I would tend to agree with the FSF that implementation of this new standard is
very important. The lack of 3D/pdf support in free viewers will unfortunately
tend to lock them out of scientific and CAD domains.
