No, no, no need to recompile it yourself, i was just asking if you used
precompiled packages or not, it seems you are using PCLinuxOS so it is clear it
is a problem in their packages, please look for the PCLinuxOS bug reporting
utility and open a bug there saying they have to update the compilation of
okular.
