When you submit a patch to a project and a core maintainer says
thanks, that matters a lot :)

PS. Blogging about this didn't help either. I always knew that
something was a bit dangerous about blogs, and I even mentioned it in
the 1st sentence of my post, now I understand better. The lesson that
I learned : only blog about a patch AFTER it has been accepted.
