I can confirm this
to reproduce
* scan a landcape document - this will be usually(!!) available as pdf in
protrait mode but printed buttom to top
* must rotate 90° right - which also changes page to landscape
* print produces landscape on protrait, cutting off some text

BTW I do not think it's a programming error, but a usability issue.
may be can be solved by adding a special rotate button, which rotates only the
view, not the page
