As for the pictures, I found out that they are displayed alright; however, it
takes some time until the full resolution is reached (ca. 10 sec on my 1GHz
laptop). A good file to test this with can be found here:

(Interestingly, the Japanese inside this file is displayed correctly in Okular
on my system, while KPDF/KDE3 apparently has problems with it.

As for the poppler-data package, I haven't found it yet for openSUSE 11.1. Am
working on it.
