What do you mean with "is not applied to the document"?
I change the item in the combobox in that document, and after a couple of
seconds the rendered page is refreshed with the new value. The new value is
saved - internally in Okular - when closing the document and restored at the
next loading.
Okular does -not- change the original document at all, if this is the issue.
