[Okular-devel] okular: inverse search in TeX

Dear all,

One of the most convenient features of kdvi/kile was the forward/inverse
search: when you compile your (La)TeX source, the viewer places you in the
position corresponding to the line you were editing; by clicking on a mouse
in KDVI you can go back to the right place in LaTeX source. Another huge
advantage: it would run embedded in Kile and did not open a new window every
time you recompile your LaTeX source.

Are there any chances that this feature will be implemented in okular? If it
is already implemented, where in the configuration can one specify the
editor? Is there a way of installing old kdvi on KDE4?

I have been using kile/kdvi on a daily basis for almost 4 years already and
think that it was a superb environment for someone who uses TeX a lot.

Sincerely,
Jacob Greenstein
