Summary: Slow rendering of complex and especially zoomed PDF
files
Product: okular
Version: 0.7
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: PDF backend
AssignedTo: okular-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: bugs at bretschneidernet.de
Version: 0.7 (using KDE 4.1.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Hi,
okular (and kpdf) do render slow if I open a large pdf file with complex vector
data. If I zoom in, I get a blured rendering that is not improved sometimes.
Adobe Reader is faster and you can see how it renderes the different parts of
the pdf. Foxit reader using MS Windows is also faster.
See an example file (~ 2 MB) on
