No, I'll merge in the changes today.

Not entirely. I can merge it back into kdegraphics. I can probably
even set it up so that it will build either as kpdf as a part of
kdegraphics or as a standalone kpdf2.

My understanding was that kpdf is end-of-life except bug fixes. Isn't
the team working on a full scale replacement called Occular? My
problem with Occular is that it requires KDE4 (not sure why) and while
I'd love to contribute by being a beta tester for KDE4 and Occular, my
primary development machine is a laptop and It took SLED10 and a lot of
tweaking to get everything on my thinkpad working properly and I don't
look forward to messing that up by installing a new desktop manager.

If my understanding is wrong and someone will commit to accepting the
changes into the main branch, I will gladly put in the extra effort to
merge the sources. Until that time, I think users will find it easier
and more friendly if it installs as a completely separate application.
This gives the option of installing/uninstalling without effecting their
KDE installation.
