I agree it is too late for 4.0.0 (and probably 4.0.x, since I don't think it 
is really a bug-fix).

The QCA plugins are released though - they just aren't final quality yet. Most 
distros probably don't have beta3 (which is needed for this to work) - for 
example, Fedora has beta1 at the moment.
