[Nepomuk] Nepomuk without the KDE Desktop?

Well, that is actually the plan for KDE 5 which will be very
modularized. Then Nepomuk will only use a very small part of the
classical KDE. So far it would be quite a lot of work to remove the
dependancy on kdelibs. But it should be simple to run it without the
rest of kde.
