Hi guys,

at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30263 you will find the
first bug in our new SharedDesktopOntologies freedesktop bug tracker.

The idea is to leave the "old" tickets in the trac but use the new
bugzilla for new ones. Simply create an account on the bug tracker as
you normally would.

This is also a good time to introduce the new git repository which we
will use for future development:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/shared-desktop-ontologies/

Currently only George and myself have write access to the git
repository. But remember that the idea of using git is to develop in
your own repository and let the ontology maintainer commit to the main
repository.

If you want your own write access to the main git repository (Evgeny, I
am looking at you):
Check out the explanations at
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/AccountRequests. freedesktop is a bit
annoying in there since you need an ssh and a gpg key but once it has
been set up stuff works nicely.

We also have two new mailing lists:
1. The generic list for discussions and announcements:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/shared-desktop-ontologies

2. The bugs list which will have notifications for all bugs:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/shared-desktop-ontologies-bugs

Soon we will get a a bit of wiki to put stuff like releases on there.

Well, this is it for now. I hope that the move to freedesktop will give
us a more coherent and professional look.

Cheers,
Sebastian
