[neon] Black screen, no panel when logging

Hi,

If anyone can help on this one:

After running an update yesterday on Neon's user edition, each time I try
to log into plasma, I'm getting a black screen with no panel - still, kwin
is functional, I can launch krunner and mostly any kde application. Note
that there is a plasmashell running.

Still, if I open a console and try launching plasmashell via:
"plasmashell &" there is no visible effect.

I tried creating a new user and logging in via that user to ensure this was
not a cache/config issue and it does not seem to be the case.

I noticed there's quite a few xcb and ksmserver errors, perhaps it might be
linked to the issue.
