Bug in QTextEdit

Hi,
after nobody on android-qt at googlegroups.com seemed to know about a
specific bug (QTextEdit is broken on ICS),  I've filed it as:

Two general questions:
- Is that the right place to do it or do I have to file it somewhere 
else (too?)?
- Is it sensible to ask for confirmation/bugfix here or do I rather just 
file
such a bug silently?

I'd like to know best practice behaviour between a bug not being seen
and generating too much noise.
