[Marble] simple example of displaying just the map, using MarbleMap?

Just to close this thread (I hate leaving threads dangling, because it's
annoying to those who find them months or years later when searching for
solutions)....

Since I never received any further assistance or advice on how to proceed,
I switched to using xplanet for the job. I knew all along that xplanet
could do what I wanted, but I thought that it would be good for me to learn
a new, more modern way. In the end, practicality forced me to stop waiting
and experimenting, and to use the old tool.
