AW: Roadmap to Qt6?

Hello Jürgen,

there are definitely plans to port Marble over to Qt 6.

But so far there are no changes or substantial patches available yet.

If you or anybody else has patches available, don't hesitate to send them
our way.

Ideally, we'd start off with the removal of all deprecated APIs within Qt
5.15.
Then at one point, it would be great to have a Qt6 porting branch that
should focus on the marble-qt version initially.
Based on that one we could decide when to branch the current master into a
dedicated "Qt 5 maintenance branch" and have the master branch depending on
Qt6.

Best regards
Torsten

Hi,

are there any plans, is there work-in-progress or at least a roadmap for
porting Marble to Qt6?
Has anybody tried to build it with Qt6 and can share details, encountered
problems etc.?

Thanks,

Jürgen
