*Hi GCI Org Admins,We want to thank you all again for your incredible work
during these last few months of Google Code-in 2014.About 7 hours ago we
notified all of the grand prize winners of their big win and provided
preliminary details about their trip in June. It’s an exciting week!Every
year the grand prize winners tell us how much they’d like to meet their
mentors. After the overwhelming success of our experiment last year having
a mentor from each org on the trip we are excited to extend an invitation
to one (1) mentor from each of this year’s 12 participating organizations
to join the Grand Prize Winners in California for the Grand Prize Trip June
7-10, 2015.   We will have events starting the late afternoon/early evening
of the 7th and will wrap up late afternoon on the 10th. These dates are
fixed so please choose a mentor who can attend the entire time. It is up to
your org to decide which mentor to send but we hope you will send one of
the more active mentors that some of the grand prize winners have worked
with to make it special for both the mentor and the students. The mentor is
welcome to stay longer in the US at their own expense if they want to make
a longer trip to sunny California.Once you have decided on the person you
would like to send please have them fill out this short form [0] so that we
can get started on planning their trip. Deadline to fill out the mentor
form is Monday, February 23rd. To make things easier we are going to use
the same system we use for the GSoC Mentor Summit and create a PO for your
org that the mentor can bill against. We will cover their coach
airfare/food bills/visa fees/luggage fees/transportation to/from airport,
etc.: just bill it against the PO.  I will supply the selected Mentor with
more details about the trip by the last week of February. We will pay for
the Mentor’s hotel directly so the mentor will not need to worry about
that.While I would love to keep it a secret that this year a mentor from
each org will be coming to the GCI Grand Prize Winners trip and surprise
the students, I don’t think that is very plausible so it is okay to tell
the other mentors in your community, etc. and I suspect students are
expecting it after last year’s fun trip anyway. We mention it in our
upcoming blog post on February 2nd too. :)Great work everyone! Please let
