This review request has obviously some major implications and some major opportunities as well.
* Usage of bootstrap and jquery could make the styling more consistent with marble.kde.org (Earthwings: is this the case?)
* Increased styling capabilities that are even possible without HTML5/CSS3 (which the current webkit version doesn't support too well)

* The question is how well this implementation works with prior code and map themes.
* And how many people involved with the Marble Team have the knowledge to make use of the features provided by Bootstrap and jquery etc.

* We need some "contrib" place inside Marble where 3rdparty code like jquery, bootstrap would go.
* Who maintains the contrib code and updates it regularly?
* Will we make use of all the features provided by the jquery/bootstrap features or do we just make use of a subset that could get identified?

Testing needed:
* On different platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
* With many/all existing unmodified map themes that are currently available
