    This is hard to read. I'd shorten the following lines to
    
    qreal const firstOp = d->m_constantDetailFactor * angularResolution();
    d->m_detailLevel = qCeil( qLn( firstOp ) / d->m_constantLnOneOverTwo );
    
    Maybe even qFloor(...)+1 if that is really the intention.
