Hello Bernhard,
i tested your great work regarding the Kml GroundOverlay tag.
It works perfect, also if i switch to SphericalProjection !!
In GeoImageGraphicsItem::paint() i use same code like used
for Mercator projection.
Like you see in screenshot attached, i created a image from OSM map
and used this as overlay to GoogleMaps - they match exactly.
Maybe there is a spherical problem in lower zoom levels or images with
covers great areas,
