[Marble-devel] Intent to write an okapi plugin

Hello list,


This mail is to inform that I intent to write a marble render plugin that will 
show geocaches using the okapi API.

As a first step, I will acquire a key for opencaching.pl, where data is cc-by-
sa. See http://wiki.opencaching.pl/index.php/OC_PL_Conditions_of_Use and 
http://opencaching.pl/okapi/signup.html for details.

Unless you have conserns, I will apply for the key using

The okapi plugin can potentially be used with other sites in the network such 
as opencaching.[us|uk|nl] with possibly more to follow (de, se). Each site 
will probably require an api key, so I may make it possible to add those 
somehow.

My plan is to make this plugin as similar as possible to the opencaching.com 
plugin wrt functionality and behavior, but use other graphics, to make it easy 
for users to understand the origin of a cache. The opencaching.<country> sites 
also differ in features, cache types etc, so the details will be different.

I'll wait a few days for response, unless I get a clear go from marble core 
team members, before I continue this effort.
