[Marble-devel] Nearmap with Marble Desktop

Hi Sam,

First it needs to be clear whether the license fits. Imagery, content and web APIs which are free in the sense of the LGPL are fine. However clauses that restrict to personal usage or non-commercial usage or forbid government usage do not meet our distribution requirements. Correct me if I'm wrong but the latter seems to be the case for nearmap (at least for the interedting parts). So from a first glimpse this looks like a showstopper.

Hi,
Im wondering if there are plans to incorporate the use of Nearmap
imagery with the Marble Destop project?

(As a KML overlay) I see it was asked in December 2009 for Google
Earth. Since Marble Desktop is opensource, i would think this has
more potential for happening.

Thanks,
Sam
