Do you mean would it make sense to integrate the APRS packet decoding into the GeoDataCoordinates class?  I'd say it was too specialized, personally...  Plus there is other information in the line that isn't related to GeoDataCoordinates at all (symbols, messages which I'm not parsing yet, ...)

But maybe I'm misunderstanding your question.
