Hi,

Ok, this commit introduced a big amount of functional regressions and 
performance regressions.

I'd say that people should just wait with their own commits unless they help 
to fix geodata-ng merge regressions. We need to get rid of the regressions 
before we continue feature development or polishing. (as we might need to 
revert the whole geodata-ng stuff if it should turn out that it brings too much 
overhead).
I'd guess that this could take about 1-3 days to sort out ...
