Bug ID: 367969
Summary: Feedback after initial use
Product: marble
Version: 1.14 (KDE Applications 16.04)
Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: grave
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: marble-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: NewMarbleUser at mt2015.com
I cannot find another place to give general feedback, so I'll post it here.
The first thing I noticed when Marble started was that the Great Lakes and the
IJsselmeer were missing. And when I zoomed in, the coastline became all
angular.
I tried clicking on the OSM map in the panel in the bottom-left, but all it did
was paint the globe with a very pixely blue-and-white map.
Needless to say, I'm not impressed.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Marble.
2. Look at the US.
3. Look at Europe.
4. Zoom in on a coastline.
5. Click on OSM map in the panel in the bottom left.
Actual Results:
@2: Great Lakes missing.
@3: IJsselmeer missing.
@4: Angular coastline, no detail.
@5: Pixely blue-and-white map, no OSM.
Expected Results:
@2: Great Lakes present as bodies of water.
@3: IJsselmeer present as body of water.
@4: More coastline detail appears as you zoom in.
@5: OSM, with streets and such.
Used 32-bit version.
