Bug ID: 339115
Summary: Via points adding causes slow interface.
Product: marble
Version: 1.8 (KDE 4.13)
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: marble-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: tnemeth at free.fr
Hi.
I was trying the route planning, adding via points to select a more adequate
route (not taking
highways).
The bug is partly due to a interface design problem: when adding a via point,
this via point is added
AFTER the current destination. I was putting the real destination on the last
point (which got lost in
between because of a bad click) and then the middle point must have been set to
0'E 0'N because it
tried to calculate a route to that point... And it's a long long way from here
:)
This caused marble to become very slow for a long moment rendering the
interface unusable.
Could the route planning be put into a thread with low priority enough to let
the user play with the
map while the route is beeing calculated ?
Could trip/via points be added between the route start point and destination ?
