that there are hundreds of different types of poi.

if the data actually exists in the downloadable maps, would it be possible to
create a dialog to select some of these types and for the user to add it to the
grid along with the default set that you'll be implementing?

this would be a unique feature for marble , as most gps apps only allow you to
select the 'usual suspects' of poi's.

if this could be done, then people could search for 'fountains' or 'windmills'
or whatever their tourist/hobby niche interest is.
