i've just copied the ireland maps that work with the native monav gui into
marble's ireland monav map directory (just Con* and GPS*), and the result is
the same, so it's probably not a map issue.

it's not clear that it's a monav issue, as everything works fine in the
'offical'/'native' monav gui.
