Summary: Marble satellite view should show current local times
           Product: marble
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: marble-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: purslow at ca.inter.net

Version: 4.3.1 (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Kworldclock in 3.5.10 shows current day/night zones & current local time for
selected cities. Marble 4.3.1 using satellite view + sun shading shows
day/night zones,
but there is no way to show current local times. I am using the fullscale
Marble on a Fluxbox desktop, not the plasmoid on the KDE 4 desktop. It is very
useful for many people to have a quick way to determine the current local time
in major cities or in timezones: I used Kworldclock 3.5.10 recently to decide
when to phone someone in New Zealand from Canada. It should not be difficult
to add this function to Marble given that the information about local times is
available in any normal Linux machine.
