Reinstallation of Kate on MacOS

Dear Kate Development Team,

I would like to ask you what the proper way to reinstall Kate on MacOS (Sonoma, 14.6.1) should be. Currently, I have Version 21.12.3, installed from your page https://kate-editor.org/get-it/ with `macOS Kate release installer’, which is, as far as I can see, no longer available.

In future, I would like to keep Kate updated without too much effort. Would you recommend the installation with MacPorts? Currently, I do not have it installed, but in general, I prefer command line to clicking.
