"exclude_patterns" does not work

Hi,
My project folder structure is as follows:
/home/projects/remix/remix-start/

The value ["^projects/remix/remix\\-start/node_modules",
"^remix\\-start/node_modules","*node_moduls*"] for exlude_patterns does not
work and I the folder node_modules still is listed in quick open dialog.
Please help.
