When opening a folder, the items are shown in the Project tab and that
causes the weird behavior.
This is due to the fact that *findGitFiles()* (or whatever is called)
will miss those files, so one needs to open a file via a file explorer
when the implicit promise from "Open Folder" is "show me all the folder
files".
