open minimized files

Hello
More thanks for the great editor.
I had a problem - I can not open and edit minimized files (like *.min.js,
*.min.css).
Even if I remove the string length limit (set to zero), the program just
stops working on min files and I have to restart it
Can you advise me anything?

my system is

kate 17.12
kubuntu 18.04
