Kate: printing in black & white

Hi

I would like to have colour highlighting on screen but print everything 
in black & white. I am aware of the 'Print Schema' capability but find 
that even with black selecte4d as the text colour it still prints out 
with the colour schema for thew screen. Any help would be much appreciated.
