Contribution to Kate

Hi, I am Informatics student and for school project I need to contribute to
some open source project. Advice for my project is to implement autocomplet
for python language in Kate because on exams students uses Kate and this
option would be helpful. I would be grateful to hear from you some advices
and some help for start contributing to Kate
