[Kwintv] kdetv problem: no channels

Hi,

I guess that's the same problem I had. The problem is, that the included
v4l in gentoo's kernel have an issue with v4l1. The issue has been fixed
by the v4l author and I think that the upcoming kernel 2.6.10 has
included these fixes (since the ChangeLog of the kernel maintainers
stated many changes to v4l after 2.6.9 has been released). So I think
you got 3 options:
a) Use the CVS of v4l
b) Try sys-kernel/development-sources-2.6.10_rc2
c) Try to get the v4l2 plugin to work (I'm not sure if it was a v4l1
issue only, so maybe that won't help)

I cannot prove this currently, since my cx8800 is approximatly 100 km up
north from the place where I'm typing this :D

Regards,
  Christoph
