But also surely not a limitation or bug of kdetv... The "fault" of your system 
is to use your remote buttons in an incompatible way. Fix KDELIRC instead.

Yup. Everything that makes an app work on _one_ more system is bloat. Change 
the offending system instead.

Don't know, I disabled it in the beta-phase of kdetv since my focus was on 
other things than this view mode and I didn't want to be bothered with bug 
reports about it. Since I always use a nearly unmodified recent SuSE distro 
with no exotic hardware, I expect all bugs I see on my box to happen on many 
other systems (at least those running SuSE) too.
