I need more info to help you there :-) Just one guess: Check the install 
location. If it is wrong, use configure --prefix=/what/ever

My friend reports the latest snapshot now compiles on SuSE 9, too. Mike: Are 
you sure you redownloaded? The snapshot has the same name, but I uploaded it 
later that day.
