It actually IS possible. Just click Cancel in the channel wizard and qtvision 
starts without a channel list. Then you can import local frequency lists via 
Channels->Import->Local Defaults and delete unused stations manually.
The locking issues (NTPL) you experience should be the real cause of the 
problem.
