Hallo George,

Let's omit b) and c) for a moment as I have mentioned that xawtv works.
Just to confirm this:

[vadim at x1-6-00-0c-6e-2e-e0-67 vadim]$ xawtv -hwscan
This is xawtv-3.81, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20-8)
looking for available devices
/dev/video0: OK [ -device /dev/video0 ]
    type : v4l
    name : BT878(Hauppauge (bt878))
    flags: overlay capture tuner

[vadim at x1-6-00-0c-6e-2e-e0-67 vadim]$

a) sounds good! Look, I have no idea about kde, I just downloaded
several packages from the redhat site and installed them using rpm
command. However trying to produce as few mess as it is possible I am
using --prefix when building anything myself. Now just if you have few
minutes could you please tell me what would be right place to build
QtVision?

Thanx a lot and best regards, vadim tarassov.
