KDE under Mandrake is in /usr/lib/kde3, and i have the $KDEDIR environment 
variable set to that. i didn't use the prefix option to configure, but when i 
did "make install" it has placed the qtvision binary in /usr/lib/kde3/bin, so 
i figured everything must be okay.

do you think i should reconfigure/compile with --prefix?
