[Kwintv] Compile problem

I am using suSE 8.0 and am trying to compile the kwintv sources however I
keep getting this error:linux:/usr/src/kwintv/kdenonbeta # make -f Makefile.cvs
This Makefile is only for the CVS repository
This will be deleted before making the distribution

*** KDE requires automake 1.6
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

Ant help would be appreciated.
