Move and resize windows with mouse buttons

The functionality I have in mind should be offered in general for any
window, I see it as a responsibility of the window manager.
Something that as said is available in Compiz, so it's not really anything
new as an idea.

Yes I know about meta + pointer but to me is as slow and inconvenient as
having to reach the window borders or top bar before starting the
operations.

I'm not sure if this can be of sufficient general interest to be considered
as a feature that can be added to KWin.
However I think that if someone tries it, would never accept to go back to
the usual methods after (kidding a bit :-))

If there is no interest in adding it in KWin, could you point me to the
relevant sections of the KWin source code where I could try to implement it
by myself?
I'm not familiar with the KWIn codebase and this could help a lot.

Thanks!

Luca
