  After building against Qt 5.14 I've found that I was a bit optimistic about the new `currentValue` property (it's read-only, so the code can be simplified but not as much).
  I'm also having this bug with `qqc2-desktop-style`(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419521).
