Happy to see this project is not dead! :)
 
As David said, it would be a good thing to port KTechlab to Qt 4.
It would allow KTechlab to be ported to other platforms more easily, and it would be an opportunity for the new developper team to have a complete review of the code.
 
I already used Qt on several projects, so I would be very happy to help for this task, and any other tasks of the project.
