Now that I have a rough idea about what will go into the app, I'm
beginning a standards search for relevant standards in the following areas:


User interface ( kde.org is a good source )

Libraries ( again, kde.org is a good starting place, will also need to
research other relevant libraries such as SPICE front-ends, Qt and other
packages. The goal is to get the most functionality with the fewest
dependancies.)

file standards  (relevant IEEE, IOS/ISO, and Ansi standards), of special
note .gerber files as supported by pcbfabexpress.com and other relevant
data formats.
