I've already watched the mentioned video before and it was quite clear in
explaining the option. However was curious about the mentioned and no
longer available option and it seems I've stumbled upon an outdated
documentation.

We removed the simulate eyepiece view feature in a recent version of KStars
because most of its functionality is now served by the “Views” feature, and
the HiPS and Image Overlays, in the sky map itself.

Here is a tutorial on the Views feature which is much more powerful than
the previous simulate eyepiece view:

However it works in the skymap itself. You can overlay the DSS using HiPS
or Image Overlays features. You can save the sky image using the usual save
sky image functionality. You can also rotate the sky map freely in case
there is a mismatch.

Please let us know if there are any features from the old simulate eyepiece
view that you think are useful and not possible with the new ways of doing
things!

I cannot find the  "Simulate eyepiece view" under Tools menu.
I'm running KStars Version 3.8.0 Stable on Windows 11 and the same version
on Kubuntu in VBox.
I have defined my dobson telescope and eyepieces' fields of view using the FOV

I can see the eyepiece circle on the map. I've read and seen youtube videos
and I'm not able to find the menu neither in map nor observation planner.

Any advice on this issue.
