Questions regarding GSoC project

Dear all,
I have some questions regarding the GSoC project.
I cannot work out how to implement the cross identification of objects in
the master DSO database for current as well as future catalogs. I would
appreciate any help regarding the same.
Also, for converting all catalogs to SQLite databases, should the
downloadable addons be converted too? If yes, then should it be done after
download or should the DB be stored on the server?
